Walnut Creek Field Trip Explorations: Civic Park
KIDS for the BAY would love to lead your class on a Creek Field Trip to explore and investigate the unique plants and animals that make the beautiful Civic Park environment their home. This Field Trip teaches Next Generation Science Standards in an exciting three-hour outdoor program with an experienced KIDS for the BAY Instructor.
Walnut Creek Field Trip Explorations are only available to Walnut Creek teachers. Field Trip instruction costs are paid for by the City of Walnut Creek Clean Water Program and Field Trips are offered free to Walnut Creek teachers.

In hands-on investigations, students will:
- study the pathway of Walnut Creek
- investigate California native plants
- identify terrestrial invertebrates
- play nature games
- create environmental art
- complete a trash clean-up project.

Field Trip Cancellation Policy
Once a Field Trip has been confirmed and scheduled there will be no cancellations or refunds except in the circumstance of heavy rain or storm conditions in the weather forecast. A 75% refund will be provided if notice is given to KIDS for the BAY at least one full day before the scheduled Field Trip start time.
