Programs for Schools Updates

Message from Mandi:

I hope that you and your families and students are doing well as we all adjust to the covid-19 pandemic, the Shelter-in-Place situation and home-schooling/Distance Learning! My thoughts and prayers are with all of you as we work together during this challenging time.

The KIDS for the BAY office is closed and we are all working from home. I have three children -one in elementary school, one in middle school and one now back from her junior year in college. I know how important it is to have resources available to support engaging and fun learning at home at this time, and to get our children outside in nature as much as possible. 

Therefore the KIDS for the BAY staff team has provided easily accessible, At Home Activity sets including:

• Every Day in Nature
• Everyone is an Environmentalist!
• Experiments and More

These have been shared widely by our school district and Clean Water Program partners and are being used by our teachers, students and families.

We are now providing our programs for our current partner teachers via Distance Learning. We are also reaching out individually to our teacher partners to reschedule our school-based programs and Field Trips as much as possible to next school year.
