Description:

Enter the fascinating world of the Animal Kingdom. Delve into dinosaurs and dig for ancient fossils. Track animals through a forest and make your own animal tracks. Enjoy bird watching and dissect owl pellets. Discover fascinating mini-beasts in their natural habitats and learn about the unique characteristics of insects, spiders and other arthropods. Meet a tarantula and a hissing cockroach during a special visit with Insect Discovery Lab. Enter gastropods in Snail Olympics. Take a Field Trip to the Oakland Zoo and the Lindsay Wildlife Museum. Meet snakes, skinks, hedgehogs and ferrets up close in a special Wildlife Assembly at the Zoo. Learn about animal adaptations for survival and the importance of wildlife habitat conservation.

Explorers will also enjoy a special visit from the vivarium, help to “hatch” reptile eggs and learn about the adaptations of snakes, lizards and other scaly visitors!
