Zoology Adventures Description:
Discover the fascinating world of the Animal Kingdom! Delve into dinosaurs and create ancient fossils. Track animals through a forest and learn about their adaptations. Go on a mini-beast hunt and learn about the unique characteristics of insects and spiders. Meet a tarantula and a hissing cockroach during a special visit with the Insect Discovery Lab. Enter gastropods in Slug and Snail Olympics. Take a Field Trip to the Oakland Zoo and the Lindsay Wildlife Museum. Meet snakes, skinks, hedgehogs and ferrets up close in a special zoo program! Learn about animal adaptations for survival and the importance of wildlife habitat conservation.
Zoology Explorers Description:
Become a zoologist/animal classification expert and learn about mammals from all over the world! Take an animal tracking hike and make your own wild animal tracks. Enjoy bird watching and dissect owl pellets. Learn about insects and arachnids and their unique characteristics during a visit from the Insect Discovery Lab. Visit the Oakland Zoo and Lindsay Wildlife Museum, and learn about Bay Area wildlife during a special zoo program. Discover the importance of wild places for wildlife and natural resource conservation. Enjoy a special visit from “Lick Your Eyeballs” and meet fascinating reptiles and amphibians. Help to “hatch” eggs and learn about the adaptations of snakes, lizards and other scaly reptiles!
