Description:

What is a watershed? Create a watershed model and learn what you can do to keep our watersheds clean and healthy. Explore Lagunitas Creek in Marin County. Study aquatic invertebrates and hike in ancient redwood forests. Adventurers will enjoy a day Field Trip to discover this beautiful, natural creek. Explorers will stay on for an overnight camping trip. Visit Lake Merritt and explore this urban watershed in Oakland. Observe the special birds that make the lake their home. Adventurers will visit a special wildlife center by the lake. Explorers will go pedal boating on the lake.

* Friday: Berkeley Marina (pick up only for Explorers returning from overnight camping trip)


* On Thursday, the Explorers will stay overnight at Samuel P. Taylor Park for a Camping Adventure! The bus will then bring them back to the Berkeley Marina on Friday afternoon for the last part of the day of camp.
