Camp Ambassadors Program (CAs)

KIDS for the BAY offers a Camp Ambassadors (CAs) Program for campers age 12 and 13 years. This is an excellent opportunity for youth who love being in nature, have a passion for science and enjoy working with younger children to take on a special leadership role and prepare to become Leaders in Training/Interns.

If you are interested, please email Jim Cartan at camp@kidsforthebay.org with the subject line “Camp Ambassador” and he will provide further instructions on how to register.

CAs will gain experience leading activities with younger campers while exploring in nature and increasing their own understanding of science and the natural world. CAs help lead games, read stories and participate in all camp activities and science investigations. They also help to teach our campers how every living thing is interconnected, and encourage them to become Inspired Environmentalists! Alongside our campers, CAs will explore bay and ocean shorelines, hike along beautiful creeks, collect insects from ponds, swim in a lake, go kayaking on the bay, enjoy overnight camping adventures and much more!

CAs age 12 or 13 years will work with our Adventures Camps to help support our younger campers age 5-7 years.

We offer spaces for up to two CAs per camp session, for up to a total of three sessions each summer for each CA.
